1. Open the latest version of WhatsApp on your device and select the photo or video that you want to show a receiver only once.
2. Tap on the View Once icon in front of the caption bar.
3. In the middle of the content, you will get an alert to activate the feature.
4. Now tap on Send button and send photos or videos to the contact.

WhatsApp advises its users to send a message with the View Once feature only to a reliable person as the receiver can also take a screenshot before your message is disappeared. No notifications are sent to the sender when the screenshot is taken. Before the message is removed from the chat, the receiver can also take a photo of that message or record his video.

The company says that the encrypted media sent through the View Once feature is a store on the server of WhatsApp for a few weeks. If the receiver wants to report to that media, then it will also be shared with WhatsApp.
