Us Commerce Secretary- Howard Lutnick Reacation on India America Ties Trade Deal Says Indian to Lower Tariff

India US relations: US Commerce Secretary Howard Lanik reiterated Trump's talk about Indo-US relations and tariffs. He said that India is among those countries which impose the most tariffs on American goods. Lonik also said that India will have to cut tariffs so that America can enter India's markets. He said that this will lead to equal trade between the two countries. He said that India also needs to get out of the model that it is following.

'India let America enter its market'

At an India Today event, Howard Lanik said, “We just want to focus on bilateral talks between India and the US.” He made it clear that only Borbon Whiskey and Harley Davidson will not work on the bike, but India will have to think when reduced tariffs on a large scale. Reciperook tariff will be applicable from April 2

Donald Trump reiterated on Wednesday (5 March 2025) that reciperook tariffs will be implemented from April 2 on all countries charged more tax than the US. After a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month, the two countries agreed to resolve tariff disputes and work on the first phase of the trade agreement by 2025. It has a target to achieve $ 500 billion in bilateral trade by 2030.
