Trump Gives Warning on Deepsek, Chinese Rival of Chatgpt, AI

US President Donald Trump has said that the rapid growing popularity of the app Deepsek associated with China's Artificial Intelligence (AI) is surprising. He said that American companies developing AI need to focus on competition to overtake.

Deepsek has reported that its artificial intelligence models are similar to Chatgpt and Google's Gemini but its cost is very low. Trump described Deepsek as positive development as it is cheaper. He said, “I have been reading information related to some Chinese companies for the last few days. One of them has especially introduced a sharp way of AI and it is very low. It is good because you will not have to spend more. I see it as an asset positive development.”

Trump said, “I really feel that if it is true and it is a positive development. You will not have to spend much and you will get the same result.” He advised American tech companies to be vigilant. Trump said, “It is a sign of a warning for our industries to release Deepseek AI on behalf of a Chinese company.

Trump, who took over as President of the US earlier this month, said, “We have always been the first place. It is a positive development as you have to spend less rather than spending billions of dollars and hope you will get the same solution.” However, with this, he said that he is not worried about China's dominance in the tech sector. Trump said, “We will compete. We will dominate. Do we have the risk of losing the leading position in AI. I think soon other people will also give information about various AI solutions. This is a very complex thing. If you make it cheaper and we get the same result then I think it is a good thing for us.”
