A new text-based microblogging platform Threads app developed by Facebook's original company META was launched on Thursday. The company's new platform will compete with Twitter and it is associated with its popular photo and video sharing app Instagram. Threads are now available to all and anyone can signup it and make their profiles. The platform is currently not available in the EU (European Union), but will make its access to the users of the region in the coming months. Meta says that users will also get access to all the safety tools and features on Instagram and accessibility features are already available for all users.

Within less than seven hours of the app being live, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg (Mark Zuckerberg) Threads Post It said that more than 10 million (1 crore) users have already signed up to use the app. This is because Instagram has more than 2.35 billion monthly users. If you have received a notification from the Instagram app that your friends are added to Threads, then here you will get all the necessary information related to this platform.

How to signup for Threads on Instagram?

You can download up for threads by downloading the app from Google Play Store or App Store. After opening the app, you will be asked to sign in using your Instagram account, after which your username and verification status will be stored, which means that Meta Threads are intended to keep pairing with Instagram.

If you do not have an Instagram app installed, you have to enter your username and password to move forward. Then you can see the list of people whom you follow on Instagram and you can also follow them in Threads. If you click on the follow button for a user who has not made a profile, Threads will handle the request to follow the user until the user joins the threads.

How to post on threads and character limit

As soon as you start following people on threads, you will see that the feed is also showing posts of unknown users. Instagram chief Adam Moseri said that these are reconded posts, which will be shown by the algorithm of Instagram and will help you explore the new account to follow the platform. META is also working on connecting the only-followers feed in it, which will only show the posts of users to be followed.

According to META, you can post up to 500 characters on the app. This is much higher than the default 280 character available to users who have not subscribed to Twitter Blue. They can be cross-post-posted on your Instagram story. According to the company, you can also add links, photos and videos to your post. Threads show feed photos in carosla format.

Threads to block or control the connection

Users and accounts that you have blocked on Instagram will be blocks on threads. The app will also give you a feature to hide special reply from users on your post. The ability to hide reply to users facing targeting trolling or harassment on the platform may be useful. Threads also give you the feature of limiting the reply and mentoring of those people, which you follow.

In this, you can also filter some special words by appearing in your feed. Meta also says that the Instagram community guidelines controlling photo and video sharing service will also be applicable to threads.
