Up shahzadi khan: The case of Shehzadi Khan of Banda district of UP remains a matter of discussion these days. His family has made serious allegations after being hanged in Dubai on 15 February. Shehzadi was accused of killing a four -month -old child in Abu Dhabi, due to which he was sentenced to death. His father Shabbir Khan says that his daughter was innocent and was implicated in false charges.
Shehzadi's father alleges that the Indian government did not help him in this matter. He said that his daughter was detained by Abu Dhabi police on 10 February 2023 and on 31 July 2023, the court sentenced her to death. The family says that he appealed to the government several times, but did not get any support. He did not have enough resources to hire and seek legal aid, so that he could not provide justice to his daughter.
Questions raised on murder charges
The family says that Shehzadi was working for a woman Nazia, who recently became a mother. According to the allegations, the child was given a vaccine, which is usually given after six months. Shabbir Khan claims that his daughter was deliberately implicated and Nazia had a hand in it. Shehzadi always described himself as innocent, but the justice system ignored his point.
A big question for overseas Indians
The hanging of Shehzadi Khan has questioned the safety of overseas Indians and their legal rights. The family got neither help from the government nor any support from social organizations. This case is a warning for Indian citizens working abroad that they should be vigilant in legal matters and the government should also play an active role in such matters.
