The Indian Navy's warship 'Imphal' reached Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius on Monday. The ship will participate in the National Day celebrations of Mauritius to be held on March 12. On this special occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also traveling to Mauritius as the chief guest.
The ceremony will also take part in the Indian armed forces contingent, warship 'Imphal' and 'Akash Ganga' Skidoving Team of the Indian Air Force. According to the Indian Navy, the ship will participate in the parade and flypast via marching contingent, naval band and helicopter.
According to the news agency PTI, 'Imphal' will remain in Port Louis from 10 to 14 March. During this time, military training, cultural exchange, sports and social programs will be organized between India and Mauritius, which will further strengthen the relations between the two countries.
The Indian Navy said that the deployment of this ship reflects the commitment to keep India's Indian Ocean Region (IOR) safe and stable. India's defense cooperation is especially an important part of this initiative with island countries like Mauritius.
Please tell that 'Imphal' was included in the Navy in December 2023. This project is the third indigenous destructive ship of 15B (Visakhapatnam class). Equipped with state -of -the -art weapons and techniques, this ship is one of the most advanced warships in the world.
