If you're on a low income, or certain benefits, you can get a cold weather payment from the government, ash hundreds of postcodes in england and wales will receive £ 25 Over the Next Two Weeks.
What is a Cold Weather Payment?
The cold weather payment is triggered if average temperatures hit freezing or below for seven days in a row: payments will be made to homes across north-east england, cumbria, cumbria, cumbria, cumbria OxfordshireWhere the lowest recorded temperature was recently -9.7c.

You'll Get £ 25 for Each 7 Day Period of very cold weather between 1 November 2024 and 31 March 2025.
After Each Period of very cold weather in your area, you should get a payment within 14 working days. It's paid into the same bank or building Society account as your benefits payments.
