A major accident occurred at the Bullet Train Site near Ahmedabad in Gujarat, which has a direct impact on the railway traffic of the concerned route. In fact, the segmental launching gantry used for construction here accidentally slipped from its place and it affected the railway lines nearby. This has affected the trains on the down line between Vatwa-Ahmedabad (Vatwa-Hahmedabad Route), some of which had to be canceled.
Where and how did the accident happen?
According to the report, train services on the down line between Vatwa-Ahmedabad have been affected, as it slipped from its place while pulling it back after completing the launch of one of the segmental launching gantry around this line, which has also affected the nearest railway line. Let us know that this route is part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor. However, senior officials of the National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) already existing at the scene said that no casualties were reported in the incident nor has there been any damage to the structure built by it. The accident took place in Vatwa at around 11 pm on Sunday night.
Railways canceled many trains after the accident
A quoting an official of Ahmedabad railway division has been told that about 25 trains have been canceled or partially canceled due to this incident, while the time table of 5 has been changed. Apart from this, the route of many trains has also been diverted. According to officials, efforts are on to clean the railway line, so that traffic can be restored as soon as possible. A heavy road crane is also being used for this work.
