WAQF (Amendment) Bill Controversy: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has announced that it will hit the road against the Waqf (amendment) bill. Board officials said on Tuesday that a big demonstration will be held against the Waqf Bill at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on 17 March. He said that through this, apart from political parties involved in the NDA government, the work of 'awakening' the inter -soul of secular political parties will be done.
Waqf Board leaders said that several MPs have been sent to participate in this demonstration.
AIMPLB spokesperson Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas said that after understanding this bill for a long time, the board's opinion is that this bill will prepare a way to capture the Waqf properties and is a 'direct attack' on Muslims. He said this at a press conference in Delhi. AIMPLB general secretary Maulana Mohammad Fazalur Rahim Mujdidi was also attended by the press conference.

Ilyas said that we hoped that the Joint Committee of Parliament would consider the suggestions given by us but neither our opinion was considered nor the suggestions given by MPs of opposition parties were included. He said that this bill shows discrimination as it has been asked to keep non-Muslim members in Waqf Board and Council, while there is no such provision in the management of Hindus and Sikhs.

Will agitate like farmers- AIMPLB
The statement issued by the board said that all three agricultural laws were passed in Parliament without consulting farmers, but after tremendous opposition from farmers, the government was forced to withdraw them. Similarly, the Muslim Personal Law Board will also campaign across the country against this bill.
He has also said that the Joint Committee of Parliament rejected the objections and suggestions raised by the Muslim community. Earlier this demonstration was to be held on March 13 but it has been extended due to Holi holiday.
Board leaders met Naidu and Nitish
A delegation led by Board General Secretary Maulana Fazlur Rahim Mujdidi met Telugu Desam Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. According to the board, Naidu had said that he would look into the matter and take a decision. Apart from this, the people of the board also met JD (U) chief and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and sought his support. But his answer was also similar to Naidu.

The board has stated that in the last few months, there were large-scale protests organized by different Muslim organizations across the country, in which the bill was strongly opposed. Mujdidi and Ilyas said that the NDA government is working on its agenda to 'seize and eliminate Waqf properties'. He said that the Muslim community considers this Waqf Bill a direct attack on it.
Will not compromise with Sharia: Maulana Madani
Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has also announced a cross-border fight over the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. Maulana Arshad Madani, head of Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind, recently said that if the Waqf Bill is passed, the units of all the states of his organization will challenge this law in their respective High Courts.
He had said, 'Muslims cannot compromise the Shariah at all because this matter is of their rights and not only their existence. Maulana Madani had alleged that the Narendra Modi government at the Center wants to snatch the rights given by the constitution of the country to the Muslims.
