  • 20% tax on income ranging from Rs 3,00,001 to Rs 5,00,000
  • 30% tax on income of more than Rs 5,00,000

Resident Senior Citizen (60 years to 80 years):

  • No tax up to Rs 2,50,000
  • 5% tax on income ranging from Rs 2,50,001 to Rs 3,00,000
  • 20% tax on income ranging from Rs 3,00,001 to Rs 5,00,000
  • 30% tax on income of more than Rs 5,00,000

Resident Super Seamier Citizen (80 years and above):

  • No tax up to Rs 2,50,000
  • No tax on income ranging from Rs 2,50,001 to Rs 5,00,000
  • 30% tax on income of more than Rs 5,00,000

New regime

  • No tax up to Rs 3,00,000
  • 5% tax on income ranging from Rs 3,00,001 to Rs 6,00,000 (with tax exemption under Section 87A)
  • 10% tax on income ranging from Rs 6,00,001 to Rs 9,00,000 (with tax exemption up to Rs 7,00,000 under Section 87A)
  • 15% tax on income ranging from Rs 9,00,001 to Rs 12,00,000
  • 20% tax on income ranging from Rs 12,00,001 to Rs 15,00,000
  • 30% tax on income of more than Rs 15,00,000
