Holi Jumma Ludhiana Communal Clash Stone Pelting Many Injured

Ludhiana Communal Clash: On the occasion of Holi and Jumme, some mischievous elements in Ludhiana, Punjab tried to spoil the atmosphere. During this time, two sides came face to face and after the stoning, there was fierce stone pelting. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and handled the condition. The police have registered an FIR in the case and arrested some people. The police is investigating the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby to identify those who spoil the atmosphere.

It is being told that 11 people from both sides have been injured in stone pelting. Police are present on the spot in view of the situation. The incident took place in the Mian Market Mosque in Ludhiana.

What did the police say?

ADCP PS Virk of Ludhiana told ANI, 'Today was the festival of Holi. On one side there is a mosque and on the other side there are migrants (people from other states) live. The migrant DJs were playing and there was an argument with the people of the Muslim community. They also threw stones at each other. Police reached the spot, the situation is under control. The FIR has been lodged and some people have been arrested. We will also check CCTV.

One side says that the prayers of Jumme were being performed in the mosque around 1 pm but during this time some mischievous elements performed outside the mosque. After this, at 4:30 in the evening, the crowd entered the mosque and attacked the Namazis present there with stone and glass bottles.

The royal Imam condemned the incident in strong words and said that efforts are being made to break Hindu-Muslim brotherhood. People from the other side say that Holi program was going on at some distance from the mosque. Meanwhile, a brick was thrown at them from the mosque around 4:30 pm in the evening. After this the ruckus increased.
